The Tater Shed is an amphitheatre next to an old 1930s Potato House built for storing potatoes during the colder months. It is across the street from the City Park. In case of rain, the shows will be in the Arts Center Auditorium (200 feet away).

The Sautee Nacoochee Center is located at 283 Highway 255 N, two tenths of a mile from Highway 17. The Community Hall, where the Contra Learn and Dance Lessons are held, is across the driveway from the old red brick schoolhouse. The monthly Community Contra Dances are held in the Old Gymnasium, the largest whie building on campus, between the Community Hall the the African American Heritage Site. Musicians and storytellers will perform traditional holiday stories and music. Hot cider and cookies will be served. This free festive celebration will honor Carl Sandburg and the family holiday tradition of music. Young visitors will find many opportunities for participation in storytelling and sing-a-longs too. The house will be decorated in the simple style of the Sandburgs with poinsettias and a traditionally decorated Christmas tree throughout December until January 6th, 2013.

unearth, A Celebration of Naturally Inspired Art
This annual celebration of the arts showcases visual, performing and literary arts in an outdoor setting. Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in art, nature, and the creative process. This unique multi-day art extravaganza includes: a photography contest; SC Shakespeare Company Performances, demonstrations and instruction by artists; and a variety of musical and dramatic performances.

After two days of presentations in the local schools, fifteen artists will present their heritage arts and skills to the public. Marshall Goers and Lucy Allen will present traditional folk music, other skills presented include wood carving, paper making, Gullah Grass doll making, brick making, gourd artist, tinsmith, fiber artist and others.

This dance is a fundraiser for the Environmental Action Group at Furman University. Beginner lesson at 7:30, dance begins at 8pm. Halloweenfest hosts, the 15th Annual Old Time Music Competition. Musicians can compete in: Junior Fiddle, Folk Song, Lap Dulcimer, Old Time: Banjo, Fiddle, & String Band, Mandolin, and Guitar. The Old Time String Band Competition takes place in the County Courthouse, beginning at 8:00pm. This is one of the few venues in the county where old time mountain music is honored by contemporary musicians.

Battle Axe Band with Jennie Wakefield as the caller will be playing a benefit dance for the Environmental Action Group (EAG). EAG is a non-partisan, student-led group committed to environmental advocacy and education. Especially at Furman, education about the current environmental issues is key to motivating those around us to live more sustainably, and therefore outreach is a big part of what we do.
This dance is intended primarily for college students (from Furman, Brevard, Clemson, etc), but anyone is welcome.
This is a great new venue in Mauldin featuring Leopard Forest Coffee, and wonderful frozen desserts and drinks. Very comfy.
